Metallographic Equipment


  1. BHM metallurgical microscope (EG.01, EG.09 and CG.11). Magnification range: 5x, 10x, 20x, 50x , 80x and 100x.
  2. BHM metallurgical microscope with PM-10M manual photomicrographic system (RS 3/4, see Technician). Magnification range: 5x, 10x, 20x, 50x and 150x.
  3. M3B stereomicroscope with phototube and C mount adaptor (EG.01).
  4. BHS-112 Biological microscope (EG.01) for incident and transmitted illumination. Magnification range: 5x, 10x, 20x, 50, 100x.
  5. BX60F microscope for incident and transmitted illumination with manual photomicrographic system and Polaroid digital microscope camera system. Magnification range: 5x, 10x, 20x, 50x, 100x.
  6. Buehler mounting press (CG.11, see Technician). Max. pressure 6000 psi.
  7. Buehler rotary grinder-polisher (CG.11, see Technician).
  8. Buehler hand grader (EG.02).
  9. Minitom Cutting machine (RS 3/4, see Technician).
  10. Rotopol-21 grind and polishing machine (RS 3/4, see Technician).
  11. Metason 200 HT ultrasonic cleaner (RS 3/4).
  12. Tennpol-3 automatic instrument for electrolytic thinning of specimens (RS3/4, see Technician).
  13. Retsch centrifugal ball mill (RS 3/5, see Technician). Max. grain size in the sample is 10 mm, final particle size down to 1µm.
  14. Spex# 8000 Mixer/Mill (RS 6, see technician).
