Utilize our Hitachi TM4000 scanning electron microscope for a transformative day of learning!
To prepare you for this day, we offer a short training workshop for teachers to become fully equipped to operate the Hitachi TM4000 scanning electron microscope in their classrooms. This training covers sample preparation, sample exchange and instrument operation. Teachers can then spend time thinking about how they would like to incorporate the electron microscope into their lesson plans and organize the session with their class. Training can be completed at our University of Waikato campus in Hamilton or the day before your booking on site at the school.
We are available to deliver the electron microscope on site at your school the day before your booking and will come collect the device at the end of the following day.
Please note that once the electron microscope is set up, it cannot be moved, so you will want to use a dynamic and secure space for teaching on the day.

We are available to deliver the electron microscope on site at your school the day before your booking for a short instrument demonstration with teachers. On the day of your booking, one of our experienced lab technicians will be present to help you operate the microscope while your teachers lead class discussions and other activities.
