Value: $5,000 to $7,000
For school leavers who are studying at NCEA Level 3 (or equivalent) at a NZ secondary school and who are intending to enrol full-time (120 points) in an undergraduate degree at the University of Waikato for the first time in 2023. Candidates must be NZ Citizens or permanent residents.
Closing date: 31 Aug 2022
Value: Up to $15,000 over three years
For domestic students who are studying towards NCEA Level 3 (or equivalent) in 2022 and have cultural excellence in Māori, have achieved NCEA Level 2 (or equivalent) with at least Merit, and are intending to enrol full-time (120 points) at the University of Waikato in 2023.

Value: Up to $15,000 over three years
For domestic students of Pacific Island descent who are currently studying at NCEA Level 3 towards University Entrance and who intend to enrol full-time (120 points) in an undergraduate degree programme at the University of Waikato in 2022. The Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of meritorious achievement and connection to the Pacific community.

Value: Up to $28,000 over three years
For school leavers who are intending to enrol full-time (120 points) in an undergraduate degree in 2023. Candidates must have achieved NCEA Level 2 with Excellence (or equivalent) and must show exceptional leadership qualities and be actively involved in community initiatives. Candidates may be taking a gap year in 2022.
For women who are intending to pursue a career in the field of information technology and will be enrolling in the final year of their undergraduate degree in the Division of Health, Engineering, Computing and Science
For University of Waikato students who are NZ Citizens and are enrolled in a BE(Hons) and who have, at the time of the award, completed or been exempted from the First Professional year of study.
For students who are enrolled full-time at any level including) first and honours year of relevant degree and are undertaking study in the fields of science, engineering, economics, or related fields with specific interests in energy matters in New Zealand.
For students of Māori ethnicity who are in their 2nd, 3rd or final year of study towards a BE(Hons) majoring in Electronic, Mechanical, Civil and/or Mechatronics Engineering at any New Zealand University.
For full and part-time students, who are enrolled in or are intending to enroll in the first year of a Masters degree in the Division of Health, Engineering, Computing and Science.
For students who are enrolled full-time in a BE(Hon) or BCMS who have an interest in software engineering.
