At WaikatoEDS, we showcase the incredible innovations, gizmos and projects of our amazing professional engineering students. Due to Covid restrictions in 2021, we have transformed the event into an online "pop-up" Engineering Design Show via our EDS YouTube channel with featured videos and content here.

Welcome to WaikatoEDS 2021

The annual Waikato Engineering Design Show is the high point of our internationally-recognised professional engineering degree programmes. Each year, our students excel in designing, building and testing new products, structures and solutions in response to real-world problems that matter to people, both in New Zealand and overseas. Waikato proudly boasts a full complement of professional engineering degree programmes, underpinned by Engineering NZ accreditation, offering an excellent choice for students across New Zealand eager to pursue a career in this exciting and growing industry.

In 2021, we have a two-day schedule packed full of exciting competitions, pitches and presentations, not to mention all the facinating final year projects in strategic areas such as robotics, smart energy, advanced materials, sustainable infrastructure, and water challenges.
